Real-time RT-PCR kit for the qualitative detection of BTV-12 RNA. Suitable samples: whole blood (in EDTA tubes), spleen and organ from aborted fetuses (spleen, liver, heart).

The ID Gene™ Bluetongue genotype 12 Duplex kit (product code: IDBTV12) is a ready-to-use, qualitative Duplex detection kit that simultaneously detects in real time:

  • a target sequence specific to the BTV12, conserved in all known BTV-12 strains in the FAM™ channel.
  • a sequence specific to the endogenous Non-Target Positive Control NTPCen, a ubiquitous gene inherently present in ruminant cells, in order to validate the integrity of the sample and the quality of the nucleic acid extraction, in the Cy5 channel.
