Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV)

ID Gene Lyo™ FMDV Triplex

PCR

Real-time RT-PCR kit for the qualitative detection of the Foot and Mouth Disease virus RNA

The ID Gene Lyo™ FMDV Triplex kit is a qualitative triplex detection kit that simultaneously detects, in real time:

  • a target sequence specific to the genome of the Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV), in the FAM™ channel,
  • a sequence specific to the endogenous Non-Target Positive Control (NTPCen), an ubiquitous gene inherently present in mammal cells, in the VIC®/ HEX™ channel,
  • a sequence specific to the Exogenous Non-Target Positive Control (NTPC-FMDV), in the Cy5 channel.

The ID Gene Lyo™ FMDV Triplex is provided with an amplification reaction mixture in freeze-dried format, for greater stability over time and improved resistance to transport conditions. It is transported at room temperature, making shipping simpler, more economical and more environmentally friendly.

Advantages

Specifications

Format

Freeze-dried triplex RT-qPCR to efficiently detect all serotypes of the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) virus in only 40 minutes

Superior performance for reliable results
  • Targets the 3D sequence of the FMD virus RNA as described in the WOAH manual
  • Secure the whole analytical process thanks to the use of an exogenous control to monitor all qPCR steps, to check for inhibitions and for use on acellular matrices
  • Has an excellent exclusivity, especially with respect to closely related viruses
  • Shows superior performance compared to other commercial PCRs, and offers an early diagnosis thanks to superior analytical sensitivity
Rapid, versatile and economical
  • Freeze-dried reagents allowing for shipping at uncontrolled temperature: easier, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly.
  • Ready-to-use master mix after reconstitution
  • Ultra-rapid amplification protocol allowing for results in 40 minutes
  • Flexible protocol for a wide range of sample types : whole blood, serum, milk, organs/tissues, swabs, vesicular fluid, nucleic acid storage cards, viral culture, environmental samples
