Epizootic Haemorrhagic Disease Virus (EHDV)

ID Gene™ EHDV Duplex

PCR

RT-qPCR kit for the qualitative detection of all serotypes of the EHD virus in whole blood, spleen or organs from aborted fetuses from bovine and small ruminants

The test amplifies a target sequence in the EHDV genome, responsible for the highly infectious epizootic haemorrhagic disease.
A qualitative duplex test, it simultaneously amplifies:

  • target RNA
  • an endogenous non-target positive control, to ascertain presence and correct conservation of the sample.

Advantages

Specifications

Format

Superior test performance
  • Excellent in silico and experimental inclusivity: detects all EHDV serotypes
  • No-cross reactions with Bluetongue viruses
  • High analytical sensitivity : earliest detection of EHDV on the market (mean difference of ΔCq= 4 with respect to another commercially-available PCR)
  • Excellent diagnostic specificity and sensitivity
  • Best results in a comparative study led by the BTV WOAH Reference Laboratory in Teramo, Italy
  • Test evaluated by the French National Reference Laboratory for Orbiviruses (ANSES, Maisons-Alfort)
  • Stable reagents to ensure consistency of results over time
Convenient and easy to use
  • Ready-to-use reagents
  • Fast time to results : 60 min’
