Real-time qPCR for the qualitative detection of a sequence in the genome of members of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC) in lymph nodes and peripheral tissues

The test amplifies:

  • a target sequence from member(s) of the MTC (M. tuberculosis, M. bovis, M.africanum, M. microti, M.canetti, M.caprae, and M.pinnipedii)
  • an exogenous internal control to be extracted along with field samples, to evaluate extraction efficiency and confirm the absence of inhibitors in each well
