ID Gene Lyo™ Equine herpesvirus 1 and 4 Triplex

The ID Gene Lyo™ Equine Herpesvirus 1 and 4 triplex kit is a qPCR detection kit that amplifies target genome sequences of 2 viruses responsible for equine rhinopneumonitis:

a target sequence specific to equine herpesvirus-1 in the FAM™ channel,
a target sequence specific to equine herpesvirus-4 in the VIC®/HEX™ channel.

This kit is a qualitative Triplex test provided with a freeze-dried amplification reaction mixture that allows, for each sample, simultaneous amplification of target DNA sequences as well as an exogenous non-target positive control NTPC-EHV1/4 (Cy5 channel).
This kit can be used to test respiratory swabs, whole blood and organs from aborted foal of equids.
